New York, NY – January 1st, 2016 – Cohen Equities announced today it has sold 1710 Broadway, a development site at the corner of 54th Street, to Extell Development. Yoron Cohen of JLL represented Cohen Equities as the broker on the deal.
Cohen Equities, previously under the name of C&K properties, acquired the site in 2003. Ownership then assembled a complex series of air rights spread across six parcels, creating a prime development opportunity.
Meir Cohen, Chairman and CEO of Cohen Equities, first began acquiring properties in New York City over 30 years ago, considering New York his home. After a successful 2015, Meir has developed the firm’s infrastructure to accommodate what they intend to be ambitious growth throughout the City over the next few years.
“Extell will do a great job there. The development will further transform the Broadway corridor between Columbus Circle and Times Square,” said Meir Cohen.
